KiloPets Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2 October 2026
This policy is required by health data laws in Nevada (SB 370) and Washington (the My Health My Data Act), and applies to everyone who uses KiloPets. It adds to our Privacy Policy.
KiloPets is run by Nathan Nitzel, Nevada, USA. Contact: support@kilopets.net.
What consumer health data we collect
Only if you allow the app to read it:
- Heart rate readings, and minutes spent in heart-rate zones (125, 140 and 155 beats per minute and above)
- Steps and active minutes each day
- Workouts: type, date and time, duration, distance, calories and average heart rate
- Which app or device the data came from, and whether a heart-rate reading backs up a workout
- Scores we calculate from the above, such as Heart Zone progress and your weekly Effort League score
Where it comes from
- Apple Health, Google Health Connect, your phone's step counter, and a connected watch, when you give permission
- You, if you record or edit a workout
Why we collect it
- To turn real activity into in-game rewards: daily step gold, Heart Zones, workout rewards, achievements
- To rank players in Effort Leagues
- To stop cheating, such as faked steps or heart rate
We never use it for advertising or marketing, and never sell it.
Who we share it with
- Supabase, which hosts our database in the USA, only to run the game for us.
- Other players see your Effort League scores and ranks, which are calculated from your activity. They don't see your raw heart rate, steps or workouts.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
We do not share consumer health data with anyone else.
Your consent
We ask for your consent before the app reads any health data, and you can withdraw it at any time in your phone's settings (Apple Health or Health Connect) or by deleting your account.
Your rights
You can:
- find out whether we collect or share your consumer health data, and get a list of who we shared it with;
- withdraw consent to collecting or sharing it;
- ask us to delete it.
